In 2005 it served about 105,937 passengers (this only counted: Scheduled Flights, Business Flights and Charter Flights). In 2010, the airport served 162,840 passengers. Regular lines to London City and Manchester account for 63% of the passengers.[1]
Due to its short runway length (under 1500 meters), it is not possible to operate larger aircraft at the airport. Because this limits the growth of the airport and also due to stronger runway regulations, an extension of the runway towards Borsbeek is planned.
