Public Theater in June 1971. The show received three 1975Tony Award nominations and two 1975Drama Desk Award nominations.The original Broadway cast included Ann Abbott as Tommie Sincere, the author Greg Antonacci as Honey Boy (later,
Peter Riegert took over the role), and John Bottoms as Jimmy Dick.Deborah Rush played Goldie Pot. The director, Joel Zwick, also made an appearance as Bulldog Allen.Award nominations
