Hindi :गोविन्दगढ़) is a town and anagar panchayat inRewa district in theIndia n state ofMadhya Pradesh .It is situated at a distance of 19 km from Rewa on National highway –7. It was the old capital of
Vindhya n state. It is famous for scenic beauty, mangoes and thewhite tiger . The Govindgarh palace, on the banks of the huge Lake Govindgarh, houses the personal museum of Maharaja of Rewa. The first white tiger, Mohan, captured in 1951 in the nearby jungles, was kept in this palace till his death. The small islands in the lake have been developed for tourists.Geography
