Wellpark Brewery was originally known as Drygate Brewery. It was founded in 1740 at Drygate Bridge, Glasgow, Scotland by Hugh and Robert Tennent. The business expanded in the 1790s when the Tennent family purchased the neighbouring brewery of William McLehose, and renamed the convert|5|acre|m2|sing=on site Wellpark Brewery. [cite web

"Tennent's Lager" is Scotland's best-selling pale lager. The lager was first brewed in 1885 by Hugh Tennent and in 1893 it won the highest award at the Chicago World's Fair. Tennent's was the first lager to be brewed in Scotland. "

Tennent's Super

Tennent's Super strength lager reaches a 9% volume of alcohol and contains 4.5 Units (or 3.6 AUS Standard Drinks) in the most common 500ml can. It is also more rarley sold in 330ml 3pk glass bottles.
