Far Eastern Liaison Office

Far Eastern Liaison Office

The Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) was the cover name for a World War II multi national propaganda section of "Special Operations Australia" (later Allied Intelligence Bureau). FELO was established on 19 June 1942 following an order by General Thomas Blamey and was commanded by British Major, G. Egerton Mott. In June of the same year the Allied Intelligence Bureau (AIB) was established to coordinate the existing propaganda and guerilla organisations, FELO then became a branch of the AIB.
