Margaret Lee (actress)

Margaret Lee Mui Lin (zh-sp|s=李美玲|p=Lǐ Měilíng; born 24 May, 1970) is a Singaporean actress. She is involved in the entertainment industry after placing second to Chew Chor Meng in the second Star Search Competition . After being an actress for a few years, she left the entertainment industry and returned years later with her noted role as an irresponsible mother who leaves her daughter in the care of the Mo family in the drama Holland V.

She has also starred in a number of movies, like Best Bet and I Do! I Do!. She has also starred in a local sitcom series: Police & Thief. Margaret is also noted for her large natural breasts of 34F, and has appeared on the July 2004 cover of FHM Singapore.

She got into trouble with the law in 2001 when she was found to have cheated a bank into granting her a S$30,000 loan for home renovations which never took place. She was fined S$3,000 on 15 Feb 2001. A district court heard that she used the bank loan to tide her over her financial problems. This was in 1996. This only came to light on 21 Jan 1999, after her former husband, Mr Colin Stuart, 32, lodged a police report when he discovered Lee had named him as the joint applicant of the loan without his knowledge. She pleaded guilty to cheating an DBS Bank officer to secure the loan. (Straits Times 16 Feb 2001)
