At the age of five, Donald Cannon began his musical career with his first a set of turntables, a mixer and a karaoke machine. By the time he left his native Philadelphia to attend Clark Atlanta University, Cannon’s talent had been sharpened and his understanding of his audience, rapidly solidified his position as one of the Philly’s hottest young DJs.
The platinum producer is based in the Atlanta Area and has produced a number of songs for prominent hip-hop artists such as Young Jeezy, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Asher Roth, D Block, Big Sean, The Cool Kids and Fabolous. His production is handled by Cookies and Milk, which also handles fellow platinum producers such as Lil Jon, DJ Toomp, and Shawty Redd. He is currently managed by Chaka Zulu of Ludacris and DTP fame. He has also worked alongside fellow Philadelphian DJ Drama on the popular mixtapes series Gangsta Grillz and the syndicated radio show Gangsta Grillz Radio and also produced over 5 songs on Drama's 2007 album debut, Gangsta Grillz: The Album.
In 2008, Don Cannon, alongside with Stevie Williams, opened a skate shop named Ska8tique located in Atlanta's Little Five Points neighborhood.
He is an alumnus of Clark Atlanta University.
