Saraswati Vihar

Saraswati Vihar (Hindi:सरस्वति विहार) is a colony located in Pitampura, a place in the North West area of New Delhi. "Saraswati Vihar" literally means "Saraswati's Dwelling"; Saraswati being considered as the goddess of the arts and learning, most of the current plots of residence were initially allocated to teachers of nearby government schools. But most of the teachers have now sold their houses to business class people.

It has more than 1000 houses ranging from convert|1050|sqft|m2|0|abbr=on to convert|3600|sqft|m2|-1|abbr=on. These 1000 houses have been divided into five blocks from A to E. Each block has a dedicated and well maintained lush green park. The colony has a dedicated Electricity Supply facility situated in Block D, a Bus Station situated in Block E, and a Police Chowki in Block A. Interestingly, Thana Saraswati Vihar that covers more than 10 different colonies is located in a nearby resettlement colony Shakur Pur and not in Saraswati Vihar.
