- The Chapel Studios
The Chapel Studios is a
recording studio situated inWimbledon Park , South WestLondon . It was opened in 2004 by record producer Steven A. Williams.History
The studio was purpose built 6 feet into the ground to allow for all the necessary sound proofing and acoustic treatment to take place without imposing on the surrounding buildings. Taking just under a year to complete, the studio comprises three rooms. Breaking with normal recording studio design standards, the studios control room and mixing environment is also the main live area. The other two rooms are vocal booths, with one also housing the machinery.
Notable producers and engineers who have worked there include Steven A Williams (
Britney Spears ,Eric Clapton ), Simon Osborne (Grammy award winner forSting 's "Brand New Day " album), Kipper (Sting,Gary Numan ), Gareth Cousins (Kylie Minogue , Blur), Keith Beauvais (Tom Jones,Hear'Say ), and Jamie Short (Sharon Gosler, Kipper).In September 2006, the studio began work on dubbing the Emmy Award nominated Norwegian children's animated television programme, "Elias the Rescue Boat" into English.
