Hartola is a municipality of
Finland .It is located in the province of
Southern Finland and is part of thePäijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 3,740 and covers an area of 675.53 km² of which 131.66 km² is water. Thepopulation density is 5.54 inhabitants per km².The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has previously also been known as "Gustaf Adolf" in Swedish documents, but is today referred to as "Hartola" also in Swedish. Itä-Hämeen Museo , the regional museum for seven municipalities.Since
