Alan Goldsher

Alan Goldsher is an author and a musician.

Music

Goldsher is a session and touring bassist. He has worked on the Cypress Hill remix of Janet Jackson's hit "Because of Love" and on the Naughty by Nature-produced debut album by Zhane. In 1993-94, he toured and recorded the hip-hop trio Digable Planets, with whom he performed on the 1994 Grammy Awards, as well as the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Arsenio Hall Show, and MTV's Spring Break.

He has performed on the following albums:

* "When the Funk Hits the Fan" by King Britt (1998)
* "Beyond the Spectrum: The Creamy Spy Chronicles" by Digable Planets (2005)

Writing

Goldsher's chicklit novels "The True Naomi Story," "Reality Check," and "Today's Special" were published by Little Black Dress Books in the U.K. in 2008, and as a ghostwriter, he's has collaborated on projects with comics Bernie Mac and Fred Willard, actor Michael Madsen, NFL running backs Thomas and Julius Jones, and Iron Man triathlete Sarah Reinertsen, among others. Goldsher's sportswriting has been seen in ESPN.com, NBA.com, Chicago Bulls.com, and ESPN The Magazine, and he reviews books for Kirkus.

He has written a number of other books, which include:
