Anjaw District is an admistrative district in the state of
Arunachal Pradesh in northernIndia . It is a newly created district, having been created on 16th February 2004 under The Arunachal Pradesh Re-organization of Districts Amendment Bill. The district bordersChina on the north. Hawai, at an altitude of 1296 m above sea level, is the district headquarter, located on the banks of theLohit River , a tributary of theBrahmaputra River .cite web
