Forrest Hill is a an area of the city of Albury, New South Wales, located convert|1|km|mi|0|lk=on north-west of the Albury Central Business District. Forrest Hill lies on the south-east slope of Nail Can Hill, and is bordered by Glenroy to the north, Central Albury to the south-east and West Albury to the west. Forrest Hill is a residential area. Features include the Forrest Hill Tennis Courts, Nail Can Hill Reserve and the Albury TAFE.
Geography
Forrest Hill is bound to the north by Gap Road, to the east by Sackville and Thurgoona Streets, to the south by Pemberton Street, and to the west by part of Nail Can Hill.It is a residential area with regions of Nail Can Hill bushland in the north-west.Nail Can Hill is of great ecological importance. Many bike and fire service trails have been built through Nail Can Hill, which is used for the annual Nail Can Hill Run. The native plant life includes the River Red Gum and Red Box eucalypts, which dominate. Nail Can Hill is home to a rare orchid species called the Crimson Spider Orchid, and is the only place in New South Wales where it can be found.
