Baron Hervey

Baron Hervey

Baron Hervey is a title that has been created three times, once in the Peerage of Ireland and twice in the Peerage of England.

The title was first created as "Baron Hervey of Rosse", co. Wexford in the Peerage of Ireland in 1620 for William Hervey. In 1628 he was also created "Baron Hervey of Kidbrooke", co. Kent in the Peerage of England. However, both titles became extinct on his death in 1642.

The title was created for a third time as "Baron Hervey of Ickworth", Suffolk in the Peerage of England in 1703 for John Hervey. He was second cousin thrice removed of the previous Baron Hervey and later was created Earl of Bristol. For more information, see the Marquess of Bristol.
