Telewest from the previous ownersDeutsche Telekom for a total consideration of £250 million. Although the Eurobell services were quickly rebranded asTelewest , the cable network remained the same and the two companies accounts systems were not integrated.The main areas covered by
Eurobell werePlymouth ,Torbay andExeter inDevon andCrawley and Tunbridge Wells. Prior to the takeover by Telewest, Eurobell offered Telephony and Analogue Cable Television services, along with a free dial-up Internet service. Although trials had taken place previously, Broadband was not launched in the former Eurobell areas until 2002.
