Lake Accotink is a reservoir near North Springfield in Fairfax County, Virginia, USA. Lake Accotink is formed by the damming of Accotink Creek. The lake is surrounded by Lake Accotink Park, a park that is well-known for its summer camp programs. Lake Accotink is currently being dredged; the expected completion date for this project is some time in 2008.

Recreation

The park has several canoes and paddle boats available for rent. Other visitors come to walk or run the 3.8 mile trail loop around the lake. Other trails extend beyond Lake Accotink and connect to Lake Braddock where more running trails or a separate mountain biking trail can be found. Gazebos are also available to rent for families or small businesses

Wildlife

Lake accotink also has a large population of waterfowl, deer and some species of turtles and snakes.
