Career

Pacquette's first professional club was Q.P.R. He began as a trialist in August 1999 and spent four years with the club before being released in 2004. During this time he also had loan spells at Stevenage Borough, Dagenham & Redbridge and Mansfield Town.

After being released by Q.P.R, he joined the new Milton Keynes Dons squad but failed to make an impact, starting only one game (but making seven appearances), before being released again.

Over the next year he had brief spells at Brentford, Farnborough, Stevenage (again) and St Albans before joining Worthing, where he enjoyed a reasonably prolific season scoring 17 goals, and spending most of February 2006 on loan with Thurrock in the Conference South.

Soon after this loan spell, Pacquette joined his current club Havant & Waterlooville. He scored 3 goals in the 2005/2006 season, and 15 goals in 2006/2007.

On January 26, 2008, Pacquette scored for Havant & Waterlooville in their FA Cup Round 4 tie against Liverpool. The non-league club took the lead twice before losing 5-2.

Pacquette is well known for his fighting spirit but has a poor discipline record.Fact|date=February 2008 For example, in his 8 appearances for Stevenage he was sent off twice, and statistics show that over the course of his career he has been booked on average once every five games.

On transfer deadline day March 31, 2008 Pacquette left Havant to join rival Blue Square South club Maidenhead United.

Stats at www.soccerbase.com shows 79 appearances, 14 yellow cards and 3 red cards. This equals 4.64 games per card.

After his heroics for Havant, he earned a surprise call-up to the Dominican national team for the 2010 first round CONCACAF match against Barbados. Barbados went into the match as heavy favourites but surprising fell behind to Richard Pacquettes goal on his international debut. The match finished 1-1. He also played in the 1-0 defeat in the 2nd leg. His cousin is fellow Dominica international Jefferson Louis, with whom he was paired with as Dominica's strikers in the 2nd leg. [cite news
