They primarily concentrate on their retail telecommunications stores, both franchised and company owned, in which multiple networks are represented via on account plans; Optus, Virgin Mobile, 3 Mobile, and Vodafone and pre-paid services Telstra, Optus, Virgin Mobile, 3 Mobile, and Vodafone. They have, as of late 2006, added Dodo to the list of carriers they are dealers for. They deal in mobile phones for these networks, both prepaid and postpaid plans, as well as broadband internet, home phone and accessories. They now, as of early 2007, have 150 retail stores in shopping centres spanning every state in Australia, as well as it's two main territories, with a new shop opening in Northern Territory. Allphones also has a business division, which focuses on business and corporate customers, and providing solutions for their specific needs.

The Allphones mascot is Angel, who appears in the monthly distributed magazine, the 'Allphones Buyer's Guide', in the Allphones website, and also as a costumed suit in live appearances in Allphones stores.

Allphones are now the main sponsor of Eclipse Music TV, a show on Australian network Channel 7, playing music videos and providing competitions, usually involving mobile phones. These competitions are presented by two hosts of the show, and Angel, the Allphones Mascot, also makes appearances.
