Lee Shallat-Chemel

Lee Shallat Chemel is a television director and producer.

Her directorial debut was in 1978 on the NBC television show Diff'rent Strokes. Her career has included directing a multitude of shows including: Family Ties, Murphy Brown, and Mad About You. In 1996, she directed twenty-three out of the first twenty-four episodes of Spin City.

She became a producer in 1993, producing 30 episodes in the first two seasons of The Nanny.

Her most recent work has been in 2006, directing three episodes of the popular television series Gilmore Girls.

She is sometimes credited as Lee Shallat.
