USBCell

USBCell is the name of a type of rechargeable battery produced by a company called Moixa Energy. The batteries include a USB connector to allow recharging using any powered USB port.

The product range currently available is limited to an AA compatible rechargeable battery. However further products are advertised to be in development such as AAA, C, D batteries, as well as batteries suitable for mobile phones.

The USBCell AA product, launched on September 19, 2006, has been shortlisted as a finalist for a UK Design Week Award for best consumer product design of 2006.
