The Wipp Valley ( _it. Alta Valle Isarco, _de. Wipptal), or Alta Isarco Valley, is a district ( _it. comprensorio, _de. Bezirksgemeinschaft) in the northern part of the Italian province of Bolzano-Bozen. It comprises the upper part of the valley of the
Adige river , from theBrenner Pass in the north to Franzensfeste (Fortezza) in the south, and is part of the larger geographically definedWipp valey . According to the 2001 census, 85% of the population of the district Wipp (Alta Isarco) Valley speaks German as first language, and 14% Italian.The following municipalities are part of the district of the Wipp (Alta Isarco) Valley:
