The Public School Chronicles

The Public School Chronicles

The Public School Chronicles is a series published by Desert Hearts Books. The first two volumes are "The Virgin Killers" by Nick Awde and "An Overseas Boy" by Peter Lazard. The books form an interconnected story of life of schoolboys at three exclusive British boarding schools - two Jesuit preparatory schools and a public school - and the lives that they pursue afterwards. Beatings and bullying at school and political intrigue and murder are recurrent themes. Conspiracies for religious world domination abound through holy bloodlines or voodoo abound. The authors use the same background for their plots and share some characters. The schools, called simply "The Hall" and "The College" portrayed are believed to be St Mary's Hall in Lancashire, St John's in Berkshire, and Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. The descriptions are authentic and most of the characters, therefore, are also believed to be real.
