Stadhampton is a village and civil parish located at coord|51.67|N|01.13|W|region:GB, near Wallingford, in South Oxfordshire, in the English county of Oxfordshire.

Location

The parish sits about 10 miles (16km) south-east of Oxford and includes the four villages of Stadhampton, Chiselhampton, Brookhampton, and Ascott, with approximately 700 parishioners. Stadhampton lies on the busy A329 road, the River Thame also runs through the village.

Amenities

Most of the amenities of the parish are in the village, including Stadhampton County Primary. The parish church of St John the Baptist dates back to the 13th century. Three pub/restaurants are located in the parish, [http://www.crownstadhampton.co.uk/ The Crown] , The Crazy Bear Hotel, and The Coach & Horses Inn located in Chiselhampton. Stadhampton also has a village store and post office located at the petrol station. The River Thame actually runs through Chiselhampton. The Villages of Stadhampton and Brookhampton are divided by a 'Brook' which runs into the Thame near Chiselhampton. The village school was originally at the bottom of School Lane ( Now in Cratlands Close )
