Deer Creek Broadcasting is a small-market broadcast company based in Chico, California. Its general manager is longtime on-air personality and former KHSL-TV general manager Dino Corbin. Deer Creek owns six Chico radio stations, KPAY NewsTalk 1290, KCKS SportsFan 101.7, KHSL-FM 103.5 "The Blaze", KMXI FM Mix 95.1 and KHHZ-FM 97.7 "La Gran X/Radio Mexico", KEWE AM Spanish Radio 1340.
History
KMXI, KPAY, and KHSL were purchased by McCoy Broadcasting more than 10 years ago[when?], under the management of Dave Brower. It was during this time that all the radio stations in the Radio Group, went to, a DOS based, Scott Studio's Automation system. This system remained until 2001, when McCoy sold the group to Clear Channel Communications under the management of Dino Corbin.
