Ben Dixon was the selected by the Hawthorn Football Club at no. 77 as a 5th round selection in the 1994 National Draft.

In 2006 he celebrated his most successful season when he kicked the second most goals for the Hawks with 39, including a bag of 5 against Collingwood Magpies in round 2.

His father Joe Dixon played a handful of games with the Fitzroy Football Club in the 1940s.

He has since retired from the game.
