Grammy Award -winning guitarist, composer, and music producer who has worked withsinger-songwriter s such asShawn Colvin ,Rosanne Cash (to whom he is married),Rodney Crowell ,Marc Cohn ,David Crosby ,Kelly Willis ,Johnny Cash ,Michelle Branch , and others.Leventhal first gained recognition when he began working with Shawn Colvin. The two co-wrote most of the songs on her 1989 grammy-winning album "Steady On", as well as songs from her 1992 album "Fat City", and co-produced Marc Cohn's 1993 album "The Rainy Season". Leventhal produced Rodney Crowell's album "Life Is Messy", Rosanne Cash's "The Wheel" (both in 1993), Patty Larkin's "Stranger's World" 1995, Rosanne Cash's "10 Song Demo" 1996, and Shawn Colvin's "A Few Small Repairs", and co-wrote the Grammy-winning "Sunny Came Home".
He plays electric guitar and other instruments on Marc Cohn's self-titled debut in 1990, and Marc's "Burning the Daze" release from 1998, David Wilcox's "Home Again", Martyn Joseph's "Being There".
