Killarney railway station

Killarney railway station serves the town of Killarney in County Kerry. It is situated next to the bus station and the Killarney outlet centre. Trains serving the station must either turn off the main line and reverse back onto it (if travelling towards Tralee) or pass the station and reverse in (if travelling towards Mallow). As most of the services on the line are now operated by bi-directional diesel multiple unit trains, the process is less arduous than when operated by locomotive-hauled trains.
