San Ramon Valley High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in the East Bay neighborhood of Danville, California, USA. It is part of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. It is a National Blue Ribbon school from the Blue Ribbon Schools Program as well as a California Distinguished School. San Ramon Valley High's mascot is the Wolf.

SRVHS's cross town rival is Monte Vista High School.

Academics

San Ramon Valley High School has the highest API score in the district at 867. Newsweek ranked San Ramon Valley High School as the number one high school in the district in a 2006 study of US high schools. San Ramon Valley was ranked #855 in the nation in 2006, #817 in 2007; #772 in 2008, the other high schools in the district, California High School and Monte Vista High School were ranked #983 and #1034 respectively. cite web

Athletics

The track and field team has been very successful over the past two seasons. The boy's team was the undefeated league champion in 2006 and 2007 . The girl's team was undefeated during East Bay Athletic League dual meets. However, the girl's team lost the EBAL Championship in 2006 to cross-town rival Monte Vista High School, but won the EBAL Championship in 2007. In the spring of 2008 San Ramon Valley High School mens lacrosse won NCS championship, ranked third in the state of California. In the 2008 winter season, womens soccer won NCS championship for the trird year in a row.

The football team is a prestigious program in Northern California, and one of the top programs in the State. It is a member of the EBAL league, and won and NCS championship against Cardinal Newman in 2007. The team is coached by Dave Kravitz and has many Division 1 alumni including Corbin Louks, Roy Helu, Zack Madonick, Paul Martinez, Sam Keller, and others. The team was ranked 360th in the country and 26th in the state by Max Preps.

The Boys Cross-Country Team has been EBAL Champions in 1973, 1987, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and NCS Champions in 1973, 1987, and 2002. A former Cross country runner of San Ramon, Scott Bauhs entered the Olympic trials in 2008 for the 10k.

The Boy's Volleyball team has been EBAL Champions in 1993, 1994, 2003, 2004, 2005, and has won NCS in 1994, and most recently earned back to back titles in 2004 and 2005.

Clubs

San Ramon Valley High has a number of clubs geared towards all interests, among them are a Music Exploration Club, a Ping Pong Club, an Anime Club, and a variety of others. Many of these clubs such as the Key Club, NHS, and CSF are aimed at improving the community. Many clubs are often founded for the purpose of raising awareness of various cultures. One of the newest clubs is the SRHVS Table Tennis Club (also known as: Ping Pong). Founded in 2006 by Arian Rezazadeh (current president) and Camron Kazerounian, it has recently tripled in size and there is talk of a Table Tennis club starting at school rival Monte Vista as well. There is reason to believe that by 2009 there will be inter-scholarly tournaments in the SRVUSD. Fact|date=October 2007

Performing Arts

San Ramon is recognized as having a remarkable performing arts program. The choir under the direction of Ken Abrams and recently won both categories of the 2007 Golden State Choral Competition, an unprecedented feat. The Theatre and Dance programs as well have taken home various awards from competitions across California. In February 2008, the choir performed at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Divisional Conference in Anaheim, California. This was the first time in history that the choir has been invited to such a prestigious event.

The San Ramon Valley Instrumental Jazz Combo is a group of students coming from both the Jazz Band and the Jazz Ensemble, who do not practice during the school hours.

Recently the Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Jazz band went to a competition in Merced and they all placed well. Marching band received first in their class, Jazz band received third in their competition, and the Jazz Ensemble won sweepstakes for the whole Jazz competition.
