Bryan Swanson (born
1980 inEdinburgh ,Scotland ) is a sportstelevision reporter and Chief News Reporter forSky Sports News .Educated at George Heriot's School in Edinburgh. Left age 17, for a job on Edinburgh's outpost of L!ve TV as a sports reporter/presenter. The following year, he joined Manchester United Television (MUTV) as a reporter.
In
August 1999 , he moved to Newcastle, and became the youngest ever sports reporter/presenter on small local station Tyne Tees. He received a Commendation in a regional division ofRoyal Television Society (North East & Border) as a Promising Newcomer. In 2003 he joinedSky Sports News as North East Correspondent in Newcastle but relocated toLondon inMarch 2004 . Foreign assignments include reporting on the2006 FIFA World Cup inGermany . He was once hit in the face by a football just before Crystal Palace's play-off match, against Watford but was able to return as touchline reporter during the game.His overenthusiasm onscreen was noted once in the "
