- Kircubbin, County Down
Kircubbin (derive|Irish|Cill Ghobáin|Church of (Saint) Ghobán) is a
village inCounty Down ,Northern Ireland on the shores ofStrangford Lough , betweenNewtownards andPortaferry . It had a population of 1,214 people in the 2001 Census.The village harbour contains leisure craft, yachts, and a Sailing Club. The main street is lined with old houses, many of which used to have stables behind them. The main street is now redone in 2008. Some of the old houses have been knocked down and rebuilt with nice new buildings. The new area is called 'Maxwell Courtyard'.

Kircubbin (then known as "Cubinhillis") and nearby
Inishargy are mentioned in early medieval records.
