The fair is open every day between these days except Sunday. Unlike small local fairs, Hull fair (and others like it) attract rides and attractions from a wide variety of different showmen from around the country.

The fair is one of Hull's biggest traditions, and has become something many people visit annually. It is also one of Hull's oldest traditions having reached its 700th anniversary in 1993.

The fair is held on the site of Walton Street car park, next to West Park, the KC Stadium and the Gemtec Arena.

In 2008 the fair will be from the 10th October - 18th October
