George Bridgman

George Brandt Bridgman (born in 1865 in Canada - died in 1943) was a painter, writer, and teacher in the fields of anatomy and figure drawing.

Education

In his youth, George Brandt Bridgman studied the arts under painter and sculptor Jean-Léon Gérôme at the Ecole des Beaux Arts Paris, and later with Gustave Boulanger.

Teaching

Bridgman lived in New York where he taught anatomy and figure drawing at the Art Students League of New York. There he taught the legendary American cartoonist Will Eisner.
