The Community Information Grid (CIG) 1.0 (CIG) is a composition of real-word and cyberworld elements providing the users with fused-data, that is linked geo-spatially, and easy to access metadata encoded Information.

A Community Information Grid (CIG) is a unique composition of resources, both in cyberspace and in reality, which uses the Resource Description Framework (RDF), including XML and Uniform Resource Identifier (URI). It is the structure of resources, their nature, and their mode and rules of transformation which form the meta-tagged consensual information which is used during the normal operations of a CIG. On the other hand it is the hardware and connectity used to bring the end-user access to the resources via a number of ways including hardline, GSM, and cellular data, Wi-Fi, and WiMax.
