On September 7th 1916, Ubriaco was walking down the street arm-in-arm with Morello to a meeting with the
Camorra when they were ambushed at Johnson St. and Hudson Avenue. Ubrico drew his revolver and fired at the assailants as he backed away, but was hit and went down. Ubriaco was shot once in the heart and died immediately. Morello was killed also. Both men were murdered byThomas Carillo andLefty Esposito Ubriaco wasn't part of the war that much but his and
