- The Fendermen
The Fendermen were a pop/
rockabilly duo in the early 1960s.Primarily composed of Jim Sundquist (from Kingsford,
Wisconsin and Phil Humphrey (from Stoughton) who met as students at theUniversity of Wisconsin-Madison in the later 1950s. The group had one big hit with "Mule Skinner Blues ", released in 1960 on theCuca Records label. The song hit #3 on theBillboard Hot 100 .
