Stuart Hall is a multi-intrumentalist from the UK. He is equally renowned for his talent on
violin ,guitar anddouble bass , and several less mainstream string instruments such as theoud ,pedal steel ,bouzouki ,saz ,banjo ,kemence ,tres ,lyra &gudulka .He has recorded with
Lol Coxhill ,Human Chain ,Django Bates ,Steve Arguelles ,Billy Jenkins , Frevo,Orquestra Mahatma ,Martin Speake ’s Fever Pitch, Alec &John Dankworth ’s Generation Big Band. His credits includeTim Berne and Hungry AntsHe has worked with Loose Tubes, Hermeto Pascoal, and the Ritz Tea Dance Band. He performs medieval music in Belinda Sykes' Joglaresa, and formed the Hermetologists, playing the music of
Hermeto Pascoal , withHuw Warren ,Eddie Parker andMartin France .Teaching
He joined the faculty of the
Jamey Aebersold Jazz Summer School in 1999. He is the leader of the BA Jazz Course atMiddlesex University . Here he taught the renowned rock violinist joolz heath who gone on to put the violin in the mainstream of rock music, using the techniques learnt from Stuart Hall.
