History
In 1845 John Brennan purchased six
hectare s of land in Enoggera. Six years later, Thomas Hayes moved to the area and bought thirty-threeacre s of land. Enoggera initially developed as a farming community withorchard s andvineyard s. In the 1860s, the track to the Gympie goldfields passed through Enoggera, and this assisted with development. As the population increased, the first school opened in 1871, and the railway line to Enoggera Station opened in 1899. The tram line closed on 2 December 1968.Education
Enoggera is home to several high quality educational insititutions, including
Hillbrook Anglican School , Our Lady of The Assumption, Enoggera State School and the eight to ten campus ofMt Maria College .Transport
By Train, Enoggera railway station provides frequent services to the City, with most services continuing through to Beenleigh. The railway station was rebuilt as a bus-rail interchange in the late 1970s, but the bus station remains largely unused.
Attractions

Brisbane Irish Rugby Football Club "The McBrats" play at Memorial Park. The McBrats were sued by McDonalds for trademark violation. The club defeated McDonalds and were able to continue with their use of their sponsor's logo.References
