Stephens Islands is about 40 km North of Dunk Island and East of Silkwood / [Kurramine] and a few hundred metres from Sisters Island and is also referred to as one of the South Barnard Islands.
This island is protected by the EPA Queensland in that migratory birds rest here.
The island is also a site for popular tourist kayaking.
