- River Yeo
There are several rivers called the Yeo in the
West Country ofEngland . Yeo is a Saxon word, meaning simply "river", "stream", or "water" district (cf. French l'eau). Germanic 'Ge-' cognate with 'Gau-' meaning district and is commonly found in the Southern Germany and Switzerland river borders.Somerset * The
