Mahoning Valley Phantoms

Mahoning Valley Phantoms

The Mahoning Valley Phantoms are a Junior A ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League's north division, and play out of Boardman Ice Zone in Boardman, Ohio.

The team is owned by Bruce J. Zoldan, founder and CEO of leading fireworks brand Phantom Fireworks, hence the team's name. They were previously known as the Youngstown Phantoms until 2005, when the Central Hockey League's Youngstown SteelHounds moved into the county, thus leading the Phantoms to become the Mahoning Valley Phantoms.
