Ziaur Rahman ( _bn. জিয়াউর রহমান) (born 1974) is a chess player from Bangladesh and the second Grandmaster of the country after Niaz Morshed
He graduated from Government Laboratory High School & University of Dhaka.
Zia holds the highest FIDE rating ever achieved by a Bangladeshi chess player (2570 at October 2005 FIDE rating list).Rahman earned the International Master (IM) title in 1993 and the GM title in 2002.
His playing style is solid positional.
