The Titan
Thanos steals the sixInfinity Gems from the cosmic entities theElders of the Universe (the Gardener; Champion; Runner; Collector and Grandmaster respectively) and the concept being theIn-Betweener . Thanos then mounts the gems on his left glove and createsThe Infinity Gauntlet , with the intent of being the equal - and therefore consort - of Death. Ironically, the Gauntlet places Thanos above Death and she cannot acknowledge him now that he is her superior in every way. Thanos, now omnipotent, is left to ponder his next move.
