Vic Gundotra, formerly a
General Manager of Platform Evangelism atMicrosoft and a 15-year Microsoft employee, joinedGoogle in June 2007 after taking a one year delay working on charitable endeavors because of Microsoft employee non-compete agreement. His job was promoting Microsoft APIs and platforms to be used by independent developers. Before his departure from Microsoft he helped develop a strategy forWindows Live online services to compete with Google's web-based software applications.
