Vic Gundotra

Vic Gundotra, formerly a General Manager of Platform Evangelism at Microsoft and a 15-year Microsoft employee, joined Google in June 2007 after taking a one year delay working on charitable endeavors because of Microsoft employee non-compete agreement. His job was promoting Microsoft APIs and platforms to be used by independent developers. Before his departure from Microsoft he helped develop a strategy for Windows Live online services to compete with Google's web-based software applications. Currently Vic Gundotra is Vice President of Engineering at Google. His responsibilities include:

Google's Mobile efforts, including all applications for iPhone, BlackBerry, Nokia, Windows Mobile and other platforms. Google's Developer efforts, including OpenSocial, Gadgets, Gears, Android, and the more than 40 product APIs Google exposes.
