Shibai

Shibai

Shibai is a term that possibly had its start in Hawaii. In short, its meaning means "lie" or "lies" and is most often used in a political sense, where politicians cite others and refer to their words, actions or quotes as either being credible or "shibai". It is believed this word has its roots in the Japanese language, and is found in the local daily newspapers in said state, usually in an election year.
