Archibald Acheson, 3rd Earl of Gosford

Archibald Acheson, 3rd Earl of Gosford KP (20 August 180615 June 1864) was a British peer. The son of Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford, he succeeded to that Irish Earldom (and a British peerage) upon the death of his father in 1849, but had previously been created a British peer in his own right in 1847.

He was created 1st Baron Acheson, of Clancairney, County Armagh in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on 18 September 1847. He was created a Knight of the Order of St. Patrick in 1855.

He married Theodosia Brabazon, daughter of John Brabazon, 10th Earl of Meath, on 22 June, 1832, with whom he had the following children:
*Lady Gertrude Emily Acheson (married Francis John Savile Foljambe, died 17 Dec 1927)
*Lady Mary Acheson (died 30 January 1892)
*Ruthanne Acheson
*Edith Acheson
*Archibald Brabazon Sparrow Acheson, 4th Earl of Gosford (born 19 August 1841, died 11 April 1922)
*Major-General the Hon. Edward Archibald Brabazon Acheson (born 22 May 1844, died 1921)
*Lady Katherine French Acheson (born c. 1847, died 5 March 1898)
