Perth, Almond Valley and Methven Railway

The Perth, Almond Valley and Methven Railway ran from Almond Valley Junction, miles north of Perth to the small town of Methven miles along the Almond Valley.

It linked with the Crieff and Methven Junction Railway at Methven Junction, which opened in 1867.

History

Opening

The line opened on 1 January 1858.

Closure

The line was closed to passengers on 1 October 1951, however remained open to freight traffic until September 1967.
