1962 ) is an American conservative political satirist, impressionist, and comedian. A native ofMemphis, Tennessee , Paul writes most of, and voices the characters for, the songs/satirical comedy bits used by conservativeradio hostsRush Limbaugh andMike Fleming .Shanklin has released a total of 10 albums containing both parody songs and political skits utilizing his skill with voice impressions.
Shanklin became popular when he was featured on the Rush Limbaugh program beginning in
1993 . Shanklin first came to media attention after doing his vocal impersonation of Bill Clinton for Memphis radio show host "The Big Kahuna",Bill Young . Shanklin was originally brought to Limbaugh's attention by announcerJohnny Donovan . Shanklin contacted Donovan doing aBill Clinton impression, and Donovan relayed the call to Limbaugh.Prior to his debut on the
Rush Limbaugh show, Shanklin was the owner of a ServiceMaster franchise.
