Shrewsbury International School was founded in 2003. The first
headmaster was Mr Stuart Morris, who had previously been headmaster ofHarrow International School, Bangkok , Mr Morris left Shrewsbury in 2005. This post was then succeeded by Mr. Stephen Holroyd who was once a housemaster at Shrewsbury School, UK.Houses

House System was introduced in beging of school year 2007/2008 in alphabet letters and change in February 2008 in Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
* Mandela (orange and dark blue) - named afterNelson Mandela , Politician, anti-apartheid campaigner, prisoner, world statesman
* King (Blue and light blue) - named afterMartin Luther King , Civil rights movement leader
* Schweitzer (red and white) - named afterAlbert Schweitzer , Doctor, surgeon, writer and musician.
* Suu Kyi (black and white) - named afterAung San Suu Kyi , Non-violent campaigner for human rights and democracy
* Teresa (purple and yellow) - named afterMother Teresa , Missionary work in India and around the world
* Williams (green and grey) - named afterJody Williams , Founding coordinator of The International Campaign to Ban Land MinesAll students and teachers are enrolled in the Houses.
