1984
*2 December 1984 - Alistair Slater (28), a member of the British Army, and Antoine Mac Giolla Bhrighde (27), a Catholic and member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, were shot dead during a gun battle between an undercover British Army unit and a Provisional Irish Republican Army unit, near Kesh. Kieran Fleming (26), a Catholic and member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, drowned in the Bannagh River, near Kesh, escaping from the gun battle.
