Vidya Sinha

Vidya Sinha (born November 15 1947, Mumbai), began modelling and acting at the age of 18. Her first movie released was Rajnigandha, directed by Basu Chatterjee the movie was a box office success. This was followed my many more hit films like Choti Si Baat (1975), Pati Patni Aur Woh (1977), etc.

She quit the film industry in the late 1980's and took a long sabbatical from acting to raise her daughter, Jahnavi and moved to Australia. After her husband Venkateshwaran Iyer (1968-1996) passed away, she returned to India, on her daughter's encouragement, return to acting via television working in serials like "Bahu Rani" (2000), followed by "Kavyanjali" (2004) [ [http://living.oneindia.in/insync/vidya-sinha.html Vidya Sinha makes a comeback] living.oneindia.in.
